Walmart type store in Fajardo?

Hi,

We're going to be back in Culebra for a few months and want to use bikes to get around (both my wife and I are fairly good cyclists). However, we don't was to take our bikes from home and two monthos is too long to rent. We have been thinking that getting two "disposable", i.e., inexpensive bikes, would serve. Best place to get them would be in a Walmart/K-mart/Zeller's type store. I know there are several big malls in Fajardo but do not know which ones (if any) have a big name chain store. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

yes in Fajardo there is all type of well known stores also in Carolina, on the road to Fajardo if you come from San Juan, there is Walmart, also Kmart Sam's and Cotsco that you can check for good prices.

Here are the phones of Kmart in Fajardo 787 863-6262 the prices won't rise more than $100 could be low as $70

and Walmart - 787 860-1020 there are bikes for adults the most economic there is $75 and they are located in Plaza Fajardo which is the first mall that you see entering Fajardo if you come from Carolina or San Juan.

Thank you very much for getting all that detailed info for me. We will be flying in to Culebra and getting settled before heading back to Fajardo to do our purchases. We will take the ferry across, blow our hard earned money at the malls and head back to Culebra that afternoon.

We will not be there for another month or two but I meant to ask, will you just be doing the run from SJ to Fajardo or will you also be doing service in Fajardo? For instance, would you meet us at the ferry and take us to some of the malls?

We do the trip from San Juan to Fajardo because we live in San Juan, we can do the run in Fajardo meanwhile we take you there but if you come from Culebra back to Fajardo there are plenty vans that take you to the shopping malls, the only thing is that you have to ask them if you can carry the big packages of the bike into their cars because they give transportation to other local passengers, or how much they will charge you to charter them or to take room for the packages . The terminal is called Terminal de Carros Públicos de Fajardo and the phone that they hardly answer is 787 860-1820. You can also make arrangements with Linsen my daughter to meet you guys at the ferry and she can take you to the malls but she will charge you as a whole trip from San Juan to Fajardo and which be with the trip back and forth to the ferry to the mall, around $50 if it is okey with you e mail me at alexisa_2001@hotmail.com so I can give you the phone number.

There are plenty of publicos in Fajardo ferry docks and they charge from Fajardo ferry docks to Fajardo Mall (Wal-mart, Kmart and any other store) for $1.50 per person. You can ask for the driver's number and they can pick you up at where ever you want them to pick you up.

I think what Nena reccomends is smarter and it is true there are many publicos available. Try to get in Fajardo from Culebra in the morning. So you have plenty time to shop without rush
