airlines for culebra

Hello,
I am wondering if anyone bought ticket to culebra recently. The only airline that seems to fly to Culebra right now is Isla Nena and the round trip is over 172$. We need to flight early afternoon on November 24th to Culebra and fly back to San Juan around noon on November 30th. If anyone is flying at the same date maybe we could use a Charter?

What about Air Flamenco? They should be flying to Culebra from San Juan International, Isla Grande and Fajardo.

Hi there,
When I called Air Flamenco I was told they stopped serving Culebra. What airline is VAL and did anyone heard of MNaviations? Thanks for your feedback I plan to travel at the end of November.

VAL is Vieques Air Link that is what my husband and I flew they were very nice super accomodating and on time most important. From what I have heard on this forum MN Aviation's closed I would search back through some threads and find out.

Thanks for clearing that up - I couldn't imagine that Air Flamenco (my favorite) had stopped flying to Culebra!!

I just came back from Culebra. I used Air Flamenco to fly from Isla Grande to Culebra and from Culebra to Vieques. When we called reservations, they are not helpful. They always ask you to call reservations, but reservations desk tells you that they are not flying anymore???? Right now, only Flamenco and VAL have service to Culebra. I saw the sign that VAL has early bird special to fly from Culebra to Sun Juan for $35.00 one way. (only 7:30am) Usually oneway is $50.00. Just fyi.

Hi,

If you are flying from Culebra to San Juan via Air Flamenco , be prepared to flexible in your travel plans. We booked and paid air from from Culebra to San Juan, however, when we checked in to fly, we were told they would take into Isla Grande and drive us to San Juan. Okay, no problem, we understand things change. How about a refund for the difference we paid for going to San Juan. Not happening at Air Flamenco. Therefore I would suggest just flying into Isla Grande and pay the lower fare and just take a $12.50 taxi to San Juan. Just my experience, it wasn't unpleasant just a little annoying that I paid for a flight to San Juan and got a flight to Isla Grande instead. Air Flamenco personnel were nice and everyone was friendly and I would use them agian but just fly into Isla Grande instead.

Clarisse, I paid $50.00 from Isla Grande to Culebra and $25.00 from Culebra to Vieques in October 2006. We tried to use VAL to come back from Vieques to San Juan. But Cheaper one (going to Isla Grande) was already full. (It's $48, but $87 to San Juan International) So, we took feryy to Fajardo and rent a car for $80.00. I assume round trip is one way times 2. (It depends which airport you use.)

Thank you very much Yoko for your help. That was really helpful! We finally managed to reach Air Flamenco on the phone, and we booked our flights. The price is the same that you, and the times departure are perfects for us.

Thank you also to Francisco to insure us that Air Flamenco was still running!

Well then where are you, Francisco Torres of Air Flamenco? I have e-mailed you twice in the last 6 weeks about flying to Culebra, using the address in your recent posting to this thread, in mid-December and you have never replied. Last year e-mailing you back and forth worked so well!
