Has anyone stayed at the Culebra Oceanview? I can't find any reviews of it but it looks charming on the website. We need one more place to stay for a couple of days that is affordable and available.

i have never stayed at the there. but you can research CASA ESENADA while you are waiting for responses. www.casaensendada.com this is a really nice clean and affordable place that is right on the bay and has water access although they have no beach. there units come with lots of extras we will be staying here in sept. you can read reviews on their website. let me know what you think !

I am staying at the Casa Ensenada, but only for the nights they had available, and then must find a place for one night only that is decent, affordable with some ambiance and/or view. Any other ideas??

Cheryl - I've not stayed there, but it's high up on a hill (i.e., NICE breezes), and overlooks the bay (i.e., GREAT view). It also has a restaurant on site, owned by locals. In my opinion, you can't go wrong.

We ate at the Oceanview while we were there in April. It was really affordable (4 people for under $50). We ate delicious Red Snapper (it comes as the whole fish with the head, but it tasted amazing) and other seafood on the menu.

The whole atmosphere was quaint and relaxed. The rooms looked nice. The view of the bay was amazing.

They speak pretty much no English, but with my broken Spanish and pointing, we managed to communicate. The language barrier made it seem that much more fun to be there.

At least stop in for a meal while you visit.

I believe ISLAND VACATION GIRL is a sales agent for Casa Ensenada.
She never identifies herself as a person, she is just trying to sell.
Not to say that Casa Ensenada is not good, it is very good...
But beware of selling CHARACTERS, they are only trying to sell, not to give good advise.

Jose, Island Vacation Girl is not, according to the owners of Casa Ensenada, affiliated with them. She is not doing them a favor, because I believe not only you get that impression ..

i have been an active post responder at www.tripadvisor.com puerto rico forums since jan. "06" i recommend this forum there to others who are looking for more info on culebra quite frequently. as well as other websites and give recommendations for a lot of places in puerto rico. i am a firm believer in the sharing of info. let me set the record straight - I DO NOT WORK FOR OR REPRESENT CASA ENSENADA- i have been vacationing in puerto rico consecutively for 10 years. spending the bulk of time in the rincon area , but after spending several trips in culebra i have been considering making culebra my vacation destination as well. splitting my time between the 2. i am thankful the people of culebra are more welcoming the some of people on this forum appear to be. you all need to relax and stop being so suspicious.

We all have our convictions, our likes and dislikes, and you are entitled to recommend whatever accommodations you wish. Just try to ignore what you can. Opinions of persons who have been on Culebra recently are the most valued by everyone using this forum.

,,,,,culebra ocean view is not a hotel ( we dont have hotel services)
we have good service....................
the turist come to culebra dont need a 5 * hotel ( they need good
time that ist...................
relax in the caribbean water
relax in culebra ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
if you want that... come to culebra .............
no casino / no golf / no burguer king...
just good time with your family
if you think you qualifite for this......
you and your family are welcome in culebra island.
