1) My wife and I are considering camping at the Flamenco beach. We are concerned regarding leaving our belongings in the tent while we go to other beaches, go diving, or into town. Is there a place to safely store one's stuff at the beach?
2) I have found conflicting statements at various web sites, so I need clarifications on this point. In a few places is was said that publicos only go between the town and the Flamenco beach, while other insist that they travel anywhere on the island's roads, including to eastern beaches. Which of the statements is correct?
3) Are there shore dives sites, or should one take a boat farther afield? Is there a place to refill tanks (and how much would it cost)? Can I rent a boat, anchor it anywhere, and dive, or are there some particular good spots, which only locals know about, and which would require me taking an organized boat trip. At about $100 per trip they are pricey :-(
4) Some web sites say that on weekends Culebra looses its tranquility when many people arrive from the main island. Is that really true?
