As for using your debit card, let me just say that that is a HORRIBLE idea. You should never use your debit card for expenses you could potentially wind up disputing. You dont have the same protections as you do using a credit card, and should fraud be involved, you have given access to your personal checking acocunt. Your actually $$ is sucked out of your account until you can proove otherwise. Bad, badddddd idea.
Look people, Thrifty may suck, but until a local operator updates their insurance policy, and will rent to someone under 25, who will be securing their rental with a major credit card, then well, Thrifty it is. Business is business folks. You don't take me, I go somewhere else. With options limited, I really can't be picky who I rent from.
