culebra beach villas

Has anyone stayed at Culebra Beach Villas? I've seen one forum response that gave them a very bad rap. However, after exhaustive research to find a hotel room right on Flamenco Beach, it appears this is the only place?? When I called them, they indicated they were the only one there (all units being owned by the same corporation).
Anybody else have a GOOD experience at Culebra Beach Villas? Thanks for your response!

I don't understand why everyone keeps saying that is the only place on Flamenco. Villa Flamenco Beach is next door. They have 4 1 bed units and 4 studio units. The 2 studios in the front, facing the beach, have balconies. I stayed there for a week last April. They are modern, clean, spacious and have a/c. They also provide light housekeeping. The owner is a very nice woman who will assist you with information about the island.

Hey Jeff,

I've been finding the same problem...we desperately want to stay on Flamenco beach but a couple of the reviews on Culebra beach villas has me scared. And I think Flamenco Villas require a one week stay. We may just try and risk it, as we don't really require that much. As long as the water works and there's protection against the mosquitos I guess we'll be ok! We're going at the end of Jan, and I will definitely post a review if I do end up booking there!

Curious to know if you ended up staying at Culebra Beach Villas? How was it? We have booked one of the villas & we're getting cold feet, after reading about it on this forum.

Actually I just came back from Culebra few weeks ago, and I stay at the Culebra Beach Villas. I enjoyed it a lot, they were great. I stayed at one of thier studios. I only was there for 2 days but I loved every minute of it. I plan to go back next year at the same place.
