Housing needed - we are moving to Culebra!

We are a couple with two little girls,9 and 8,and we want to rent a house or an apartment could be a small one. We are from San Juan. I'm a police officer,so as soon as we find the house the quickly we can be there. We will apreciate if anybody can help us with this. We just want to live there as simple as we can. Just a place to live at that beautiful paradise. Please help me to find a house for me and my family in Culebra. We are on vacations now so it is the right time to move to Culebra. I suggest that you go there, observe, talk to the people, even talk to the police there.
It is very difficult to find that here, since most os the postings are related to tourism.
I think that most of the house owners, are most likely to rent for a few days only, it's better money, despite any damages and/or repairs needed from time to time.

Let me get this straight: A hard working Puerto Rican policeman wants to move to Culebra with his wife and two small children, and he is informed by a good gentleman that the denzens of this island Eden won't want to oblige him in his modest quest for housing because it is more profitable to rent to North American tourists, etc., than to a righteous countryman? If this proves truly to be the case, there's a serpent in the garden who surely offered Eve the apple. Some paradise!

Well, like it or not, it would be very hard for any middle class person to move to Culebra these days due to the rapidly encreasing property values in the Caribbean, not just Culebra. Who would sell a house for less than its value even though the buyer is "righteous" (are policemen automatically righteous?)?

The "evil" you refer to is simply the one who's symbol is $.

While I've had differences with Sr. Guzman before he is correct.
