A suggestion for anyone going to Culebra, there's a new Culebra Island Guide available at the Dive Shop, and the lady that sits at the bridge (some days open, others not) for $3. It has maps, places to stay, restaurants, everything you want to know about Culebra in it. I'd scan it and post pages for everyone if my scanner was working correctly!!!! Maybe I can take snapshots of all pages to send out if anyone wants them.

Scan it and send it out?? Did it occur to you that it might be copyrighted? People on Culebra work really hard to put together booklets like that for very little profit, and if you "steal it" by publishing it on the internet, who's going to buy it for $3 when they are on the island, and how will people make their living?

Whoa, settle down there, Miss. All I was going to scan/send out was a map of Culebra, business numbers, and a ferry schedule that I got when I was there last week. Everyone over here asks the same questions, they need the same information/numbers, and I'm sure they--like I did--will be happy to purchase the Culebra Island Guide when they get there!

Did it ever occur to YOU that you can print the same things I offered to send out directly from the site that produces the Culebra Island Guide? Before you jump all over someone for something, why don't you do a little research first!

translate to:

"All I was going to scan/send out was a map of Culebra, business numbers, and a ferry schedule" in your next post?

The materials, plain and simple, are likely copyrighted, and as you said, if you can get them from a website, why would you put yourself at risk by violating copyright laws?

and I wasn't screaming - THIS IS SCREAMING.

Like I told you in my email reply, I don't have time for back and forth crap, and I have contacted the publishers of the Culebra Guide.

I think it's time to bid a farewell to this forum since I've been told that it is very biased, and the locals (in Culebra) aren't allowed to post here? What's up with that?????
