The wall that was put up by Victor Gonzales, a person trying to use Culebra for his personal gain at the our expense. The infamous wall was broken up by the locals. There is going to be another protest in a couple of days. The wall prevented the public to use the right access to Flamenco Beach or what is called "el muellecito". Power to the locals!

What's the story now about what's going on. I'm trying to find out things on the internet and I can't seem to find anything.

Should I be concerned about trying to get to the beach?

Is there anything I can do?

The access is still there for Famenco Beach, you do not need to worry about getting to or using this beautiful beach. The wall in question was erected on a road that blocks access to a portion of the beach that has been used by local Culebreans for decades. It will not affect anybody that gets to the beach by the main road. It sounds like this Victor Gonzales is a jerk. Or at least he has shown poor judgment in consructing this wall. I don't blame anybody for being upset about it. The wall is very un-Culebra-like, as you will find most locals are more than accomodating, as long as you respect their island and those that are on it.

Power to the locals!
