How is Posada la Hamaca? Any new ideas of good places to stay? We'd like to keep it to $100/night. We'd like to be as near the water as possible, near a nice beach, and with a kitchenette. Of course, a little house or apartment would be great, but we think the budget won't fit.
I stayed there 2 years ago. It was fine. We liked it. The owner was nice. It's on the canal so the back porch got mosquito-y. Noise from Mamacita's next door in the evening sometimes was a little loud. And there are insane roosters in town that crow all the time. We didn't have a room with a kitchenette, which we regretted. Get a kitchenette! If you are really active you can walk or bike to Flamenco beach, but it is relatively easy to catch a taxi van for $2.
