status of Wi-Fi in Culebra

I will be sailing from Venezuela to Culebra in November. Can anyone tell me if the Wi-Fi is still working in Culebra and what the coverage and bandwidth are.

Hey Steve,

good to know you are alive and well!

As far as I know, the wireless is working. You will need an amplifier for your antenna or sail to town to log in.

I have found kits on ebay for the antenna or you can buy/rent them from David, the guy who runs the network.

On the other hand I just heard, Culebra Wireless net is for sale. Which does not mean anything but it could be that by the time you get there he is out of business.

hey all. love this culebra site. never been to the island. going for a week in Feb. wondering if there is internet access at culebra beach villas. WI FI? would much appreciate any info. thanks. Peter
