My husband and I are planning a trip to Culebra at the end of this month. We have been told to get to the ferry at least 2 hours earlier (we are talking Memorial Day Weekend). Is this really necessary? Can you make reservations for the ferry? We want to go to Flamingo, I understand that we need a car to get there, which car rental company should we contact? Also, is there a bed and breakfast or guest house at Flamingo? Thanks in advance for your help!

On Memorial Day weekend, you probably need more than two hours advance at the ferry. Once you buy your tickets, there is no guarantee that you will actually get on the ship that you bought tickets for. You cannot make reservations.

I'd rather fly on that weekend, even tough you have to get at the airport very early too.
For car/jeep rental, I have heard Carlos Jeep is good, I have rented from them in the past.
The situation with the ferry is that there are more people than the fery can take, that is more truth in weekends with holidays.
The ticket window opens close to 0800, but you have to get on the line not less than 1 1/2 hour before, and stay there, then after getting the ticket, move inside the terminal and not move from a close position to the gate.
