High Speed Ferry

We will be coming to Culebra in June and have heard about the high speed ferry from Old San Juan. Is it Good? Will it be running in the summer?

It just started... I do not see why it should not be running.
But keep posted just in case.
Check for the schedules if you are to use it after a few days of staying in Culebra. I heard that it takes one hour fifty minutes to get there, on normal conditions. someone posted a website for the ferry not long ago, check the forum.

I toured it in March while docked at Culebra. Very nice ferry. I also am concerned about whether it will be running when we go back in July. If they don't keep their boat full, will they quit? I sent an e-mail to the company, and it got bounced. I wanted to know if they move the boat during seasons, or if they have two boats named Athena - which I think is odd (and maybe it's bad luck in boats?) It seems they have two Athenas - one in PR, and one in Block Island in New England.

I believe they put this ferry because something went wrong in other place.
If this is true, this ferry will not last long. Remember this is a business, not a welfare operation, and this business at the rate they are charging, may not provide a healthy operation, and may not last much time.
But do not worry, there is always the government ferry, and the planes.

I spoke to a crew member on the high speed ferry. He said they will be returning to their Block Island run for the summer and be back next year.

update on Costa Bonita Resort

Has anyone eaten at the new Costa Bonita hotel since it changed food service providers? I heard from friends that it was not so good in the past. Is the hotel doing well.
