Melones Point is a far walk from town. I don't know where this villa is in relation, but a car for a couple of days wouldn't be a bad idea if you want to see the island, especially to go to Flamenco. See this map:

Above the North arrow is town. From there, you walk up the hill (where the 47 is on the map), past the old folks home, and out the road to Melones. This road also goes to Harbor View Villas, but Melones is still past that. Did you ask the owners' opinion about a car? They are probably your best resource.
