I found a web page that said that an eco-lodge is under construction on Culebra over looking Luis Pena. is that true? I'm interested in hearing more about that project. Has it been completed? Did they ever start? The name is Bajacu, does anyone know anything more? i'll be on the island in a week and would be interested in seeing it if it exists...

Carlos, of Carlos' Jeeps is the owner of the place. Don't know, how far they are in terms of construction, but you can go to their office and ask!

If you click on the Brava al Natuaral link under the shelter portion of this site, and then on vacation rentals, you will get a map of Culebra with icons representing the rentals. If you mouseover the icon closest to Tamarindo, it will be identified as Bajacu. Click on it to see pictures of the place. I spoke to Carlos, thinking I might want to stay. I needed a place for 2 couples, and it is suitable for only one, I think. Anyway it was out of my budget range. Carlos did invite me to check it out when I come, saying it is a work of art. I plan to take him up on it.
