First time to Culebra
Culebra, Puerto Rico

My husband and I will be going to Culebra and Vieques for our anniversary in June. Can anyone recommend a nice place to stay (not the Wyndham) that costs $125 a night or less (low season)? Also, how much does it cost to rent a scooter, Jeep, or car? Are there any must-see spots or restaurants you would suggest (good regional food)? Any ideas about how we should divide up our 8 nights between the two islands? Any other information we should know? Thanks!!!

hi there,

i am from casarobinson we are a new small facility in culebra. we have the lovers nest for $95 per night plus tax.
as for the prices of the scooters they range less than $30 for 24 hours. car rentals depend on the type of cars you like to rent we suggest Carlos Jeep theyare real good and have great cars and jeeps.

You could visit our web site at www.casarobinson.com

for food i liked club seaborne is real nice and on the weekends they have nice slow music by a guitar player name juni prieto.

hope you enjoy your stay at our beautiful islands.

I beleive you have enough time for both islands.
While in Vieques, you may want to visit the bioluminiscent bay, Manuel Ky beach ( Blue Beach ), Punta Arenas ( Green Beach ), Sun Bay, among others. To eat and stay, you may find it at Puerto Real ( Esperanza ) good small guesthouses & hotels whithin your budget,
In Culebra, even though I have not stayed there, Casa Robinsson looks good & clean, Villa Boheme which has been my choice for some time, is a water front, very good, small hotel, I have chosen Casa Ensenada on some occasions, and it is very clean, waterfront guest house with boat rentals. To eat local, Tina's, La Poncena, Barbara Rosa's, Mamacitas, and many others. To relax in the afternoon Manacitas is the place. About beaches, look for Flamenco, Culebrita ( can be reached by boat ), Zoni, and Carlos Rosario among others.
Have a pleasant stay,

Villa Fulladoza is really the best value on the island
and I've checked out the rest. Carlos Jeep will set you
back $45 a day but you should really take 4 wheel for Zoni.
Culebra is fantastic, you'll have a great time.

Chances are you will prefer Culebra (more secluded I guess.)
As I said earlier, Villa Fulladoza is for me the best value on the island
and it should set you back $80 (ask for one of the four huge apartments
in the newest building), the view is incredible, they are on the harbour
and they have a great outside BBQ. Anyway, that's my 2 cents. I have tried
other place and have been fairly disapointed.
Carlos jeep will set you back about $50 a day (better than a scooter).
restaurants mentioned by others are fine. Mamacitas, Dinky docks are
pretty cool. The new one at Seabourne is right on the water but it's
better for drinks. Don't stress out too much, Culebra is fantastic and
somewhat unique.
