Would I be limited in the destinations I could reach on Culebra if I rented a scooter instead of car?

And for either a scooter or a car is it recommended to reserve it ahead of time or will I be able to get one when I arrive in Culebra?

Arriving March 17th.

Any information would be really appreciated. Great forum by the way.

Emilio all reservations are strongly suggested in high season.
Your limitations with the scooter versus a car, are obvious, but in addition, you'll be unable to reach some places due to ground roads, and steep terrain.
For all other, you are not limited by law, to use your scooter.

Hello Emilio,

The scooters are the best way to get around the Island. Is cheaper (in gas and rate), an adventure, you can park everywhere without complications. Culebra has narrow streets, and is a big problem trying to find a place to park. With the scooters you can ride the same place, and even more with them than a car.

The best place to rent a Scotter is at Culebra Scooter Rental in the airport they are a local couple they are really nice people and give nice service and can call them at 787-742-0195.
