ferry on weekends

I have taken the ferry before but it was the 9am on a weekday.

This time, we arrive to San Juan on Saturday at noon and plan on going straight to Fajardo and take the 2:30 ferry. If we miss that, is the next one Sunday at 2:30?

Please write back if you've taken the ferry recently on a weekend
and advise us on updates schedule.

There is always a 0900 ( +/- ) ferry service.
Make sure you get there close to 0730, the line is very heavy this time of year. I think there is a last service close to 1700, but not sure.
As far as I remember the midday service is more close to 1330, than 1430.
Maybe others on this forum can help Karin with this.

Someone could tell me if ferry from Fajardo to Culebra is t 13.00 or 15.30 n monday?
I leave from San Juan on the morning and travel with "publicos". Have someone idea of what time I must calculate? Is the service reliable?

THe schedule is mostly the same each day of the week.
0900/0930, 1330, and if still in service one close to 1730.
The vessels are in bad shape, some of them were grounded by USCG some weeks ago.
If you depend on public transportation, be SURE to get to Fajardo at least 1 1/2 hour before the departure, specially in the morning.

There is a ferry during the week from 6:30AM to Fajardo from Culebra, we walked out of town towards the airport yesterday as others were getting ready to get on the ferry, and then saw it from the air as we flew over. As I mentioned on another thread, I never saw a full ferry or heard of any problems getting on any of them, at any time. The seas were rough last weekend and that caused some sea sickness issues, but otherwise, I wouldn't call these old or decrepit means of transportation (I have taken ferries in Mexico and AK and Europe). Tickets aren't sold til 1/2 hour before anyhow. I also found they left on time.
