Does Anyone Know Where Seaborn Air Gate Is In SJU?

We will be flying Seaborne Air out of San Juan International to Culebra. Does anyone know what gate they fly out of? We'll be getting in on Jetblue and want to see how far it is.

They are upstairs next to the American terminal. There is a VAL sign out on the floor in front of the counter. It was not manned all of the time. I waited there and a guy showed up 30 min before my flight and said lets go and we departed early. So just wait at the unmanned VAL terminal.

Go toward gate D2 and you will find the Vieques Air Link counter that the Seaborn flights go out of.

They seemed strict on luggage policy. Total of 30# for one personal and one carry on item. Total of 50# personal, carry on and checked bag. Plus $25 for the checked bag which can only weigh 20# if your personal item and carry on already weigh 30#.

We're looking at going without a checked bag due to those limitations and the extra time needed to retrieve checked bag after landing in SJU and having to get to unmanned VAL counter 45 minutes before the culebra flight. We arrive at 1pm and leave for Culebra at 3pm.

Did you have any problems in that area?

Did they let you pictures on the way to Culebra. We took Air Flamenco last April, our 1st time there, and they wouldn't let you take pics.

That timeframe should be no problem getting to the VAL counter.

We took pictures.

Coming back they for got my knapsack in the plane. They told us to get on the shuttle bus and when we got to the terminal to get off the bus I noticed they forgot my bag. I had a tight connection so they called me while I was on the big plane to go home. Too late to get it. now I have someone in Culebra mailing it back to me. So make sure your bags get off of the little plane.

Thanks Geronimo, is that enough time retrieving a checked bag also?
We plan on a couple days diving, the shop provides all the dive gear free, but still it wouldn't be our own equipment.

I've had to wait a long time sometimes for a checked bag. So that's iffy. can you send your stuff down in a flat rate box to the post office? If you do that, be sure to wrap your flat rate box in plastic wrap. I've had them rip open and then retrieve an empty bow. They have never since ripped wrapped in plastic. You can get the wrap at the post office or home depot. Also, if you insure your box it seems to be handled better/gentler.

I did check into shipping it ahead and it seems really exxpensive. We'll forget about the checked luggage and spend the extra $$ on margaritas at momacitas!
