getting to culebra

my buddy and i plan to visit culebra for 5 days in dec 2012. we arrive rather late at SJ intnl airport at 9pm. probably have to stay the night in SJ. i looked for info regarding transport to culebra either by ferry or plane. what are the pros and cons of each please? what do you recommend? i could not find the cost of airfare.

The plane is a lot quicker but more money. I'd suggest that you stay in Old San Juan at the Hotel Milano (reasonable) and fly from Isla Grande Airport to Culebra.

Yes, I concur. By the time you get to Fajardo by taxi, wait in line for ferry tickets, and arrive in time for dinner at Susie's, you could be having drinks at the Dingy Dock for lunch if you fly.
