September camping in Flamenco

Hi all. First, thank you so much for this site! I've been reading it since we decided on Culebra for our vacation.

On to my questions..

My girlfriend and I will be camping the first week of September in Flamenco. From what everyone seems to be saying, Section E is where we would like to stay. How far of a walk is it from the Main office of the campground? Also, I've been reading to get into town, call a taxi. Do cell phones work on the island? If not, are there pay phones near the office we could use?

We are planning on packing light as far as camping gear. Would anyone recommend some camping necessities we should bring?

Thank you in advance, and I'm sure I'm going to have a few more questions down the line.

You are going to love it! Section E is a good ways away from.the main office....I usually prefer campsite a or b. E is about 1/4 mile from the office and kiosks.
Cell phone service is fine on town but very iffy at camp. I usually have no service at camp but sometimes can get it on the beach.
There are no pay phones at the campground.
Taxis are okay but can get expensive if you make lots of trips. 6 dollarsround trip per person. I suggest renting a golf cart...they are a lot of fun and you can go to town whenever.
