How to get in touch with a priest and/or Catholic church/ marriage license Q's

Me again!

My fiance and I have been trying to get in touch with a local priest and the Catholic church on Culebra and have been having a tough time of it - any suggestions on a better way (we have been calling) to get in touch with someone? We are hoping to be married in the church sometime between 5/11 and 5/16. Would it be possible to just go there when we get there and try and reserve a day or do you think we need to reserve in advance?

Also, any who has gotten married on Culebra, I would love some info about the marriage license process - did you go straight to city offices in San Juan after the ceremony and get it? Did you apply in advance? Did you get the paper work before the ceremony so the person who married you and the witnesses could sign it after the ceremony?

Any help/ info would be awesome!

I got married on Zoni beach but that was 20 years ago so not sure if things have changed. We had to have bloodwork paper work signed by your doctor that no one had a STD. It had to be signed within 10 days of the marriage. We had the podre fill out the paperwork and submit it for us. Request several copies of your marriage certificates that you may need in the future. Copies now are like a $1 but trying to get a copy 5 to 10 years down the road will prove to be a challenge. They will mail them later to your home. Get the info, a form, that you will need to enter on your marriage app. you have to have family names and dates going way back. All of the forms and license are in Spanish. Search this site for a website that offers help. If you miss something then it's over.
