My family and I will be visiting the island on 12/21/04 or 12/22/04 and would like to know what type of facilities are available. We prefer a place near the beach with a view. There are4 of us and will require a min. of (1) double and two single beds.
We wish to snorkel so we would like to saty near the best beach in the island. What is the best beach in the island?

I've been to Culebra a couple of times and just returned Tuesday from a 10 day trip. I recommend renting rooms from Max and Esmeralda at Villa Flamenco Beach. They have two large rooms with balconies over the beach and kitchenettes and two small rooms with kitchenetes but no view. We've stayed in both, and while I prefer the view, the back rooms are fine because you can hang out on the grounds in the lounge chairs or at the outdoor tables and eat virtually right on the beach.

The beach is great and the cove is well protected from prevailing winds, although it is the busiest beach. If has a nice reef on the east side, but the primo reef is at Carlos Rosario, which is about a 30 minute hike -- no car access -- to the west of Flamnco beach.

Max and Esmeralda are great hosts.

I agree as well. My husband and I stayed there last year for a week and it could not have been better. We rented a studio with balcony facing the ocean. The rooms were large, new, clean, bright, etc.. Can't say enough good things about the place and the owners.

I agree that Flamenco Beach is a great place to stay. My wife and I stayed at Culebra Beach Villas right next to the place mentioned above. There are facilites for groups of 2-8 people and it's right on the beach. The staff was very friendly and the studio that we stayed in was exactly what we were looking for.

Deseo visitar por vez primera a Culebra y quisiera pasar el día y hospedarme una sola noche. Donde podría quedarme hasta el próximo día ya que no se si solamente los hospedajes u hoteles que hay alli deben ser de mas de tres días, etc. Además que sea cerca de la playa de Flamingo.
