Hola! I have read reports on this website about Kokomo and they are all over the place. The last that was said was that the owner was renovating but there has not been any recent postings about any guests staying there. The rates are very low, the next lowest rate would be camping in your tent at Flamenco Beach. The location is great as they are right across the street from the ferry, walking distance and also accessible to the publicos (public transportation). This is a bare bones hotel, very simple. They do advertise to having AC but I've read that sometimes it either doesn't work or there is none. They are also right across the town plaza with may be noisy depending on the day of the week and the holidays that are soon coming up. We have stayed at Casita Tropical. They will pick you up and drop you off at the ferry and have quite a number of amenities, check their website under SHELTER. Palmetto Guesthouse is also a good recommendation.
Sometimes it is best to pay a little more and stay at a place that is recommended and comfortable. Search under SHELTER and then under the FORUM SEARCH to get feedback on the places you are considering. Happy travels! J
