I traveled to Culebra Aug 11-13, 2009 with my 3 kids ages 7, 5 &5.
I stayed in Dewey at Posada http://www.posada.com/ (would stay again), I will post separately about this experience.
When we got to Posada, they called a taxi for us to the beach. We had Island John (from New York, speaks New York English). I asked him how much to Flamenco and he said $3/each way/pp or $5 round trip/pp. I paid $5 round trip, arranged a pick up time on Flamenco for later that day and he gave me his cell phone number if we needed him earlier.
I would use him again, my kids loved him. His cell 917-642-7740.
My tip for using his service: tell him when you want to be picked up (example: tomorrow 9:30am) and then call him at 9:25 and tell him you are ready.
Honest guy, I asked him to break a big bill and he didn't have all the change, he'd give me the $5 at pick up--he had it ready for me (I told him to keep it).
