Hello Candy,
I have been going to Culebra now for a few years and LOVE it. I think you may ned to be a bit more flexible in your travel plans. I have taken both the ferry and airplane to Culebra, I named the ferry "The Vomit Vessel" it cost $2.00 and takes 2 hours from Fajardo, but I would recomend spending the money for an Airplane ride. I know for sure that the last plane out on Isla Nena is at 5:00 P.M. to San Juan and thier first in from San Juan is 8:30 A.M. and will cost $130 Round Trip. I am not sure the times in and out of Farjardo but I do know that a R/T ticket will cost $35 and a one way ticket will cost $20. If you could I would HIGHLY suggest that you spend at least 1 night on the island, you wont regret it!!!!
Look into Flamenco Beach Villas in my opinion the best place to stay is here. You are right on the one of the most beatifull beaches in all of Puerto Rico. Flamenco Beach Villas are very clean and comfortable for single travels or even families up to 8 People.
Take my advise forget about Puerto Rico and just go to Culebra.
