Reservations for camping in Culebra?

Hi!! Do I have to make reservations for camping in Flamenco beach? And i am from the south area of Puerto Rico, there are flights from Ponce to Fajardo? or I just have to stick with the ferry?

We are a young couple and want to go anyday after august 05, 2009.

at what hours should the ferry operates and the price? and what hours operate from Culebra to Fajardo.

Any special route from the south to fajardo will be appreciated, as well as any time i might have forgot...

To answer some of your questions. Flights are out of Ceiba airport, $35 one way to Culebra. Ferry takes off from Fajardo and I think it's $2.50 each way. Don't know how to get to Ceiba or Fajardo from Ponce.

But going from the south to ceiba (which is near Fajardo) for an airport.. i think i better go directly to Fajardo and pick the ferry...

You're welcome vaccine, and I forgot to tell you that the ferry takes about 1 1/2 hours to Culebra. Many people choose to fly so that they can get to Culebra faster... anyway, have fun!

Bosie, when was the last time you took the ferry? Some of them are considerably faster these days :)

mmmm so the ferry can go faster than 1 hour and a half... that's good to know, but also I will not mind if the ferry takes and hour and a half because we can enjoy the view of the ocean meanwhile.

I still want to know if I have to make reservations for camping in Flamenco area, and how is the crowd in august... and if in the week are less people than weekends, (i.e. because some people can want some privacy like me and go week days too, so a week day can be crowded too...) Hope I explained myself well.

hey vaccine,,all u need to know about camping on flamenco in in the shelter section above,,the very first thing u will come to,has everything u will need to know i think,i hope that it does for you,,maybe we will run into u both on the island, if not,,happy skinny dipping :)

I want to know where is the grocery store located. I couldn't locate a grocery store on the map provided here; or the best thing could be going to the Gulf Station? Want to do a little grill next day.

Also, I was told there are small kiosks of food, etc in the beach area, is it only on Flamenco beach? or there are other kiosks in the other beaches? and do they sell ice?

Thank you and pardon my English, I just need to practice and I don't have anyone to practice with.

Hola! On the The Culebra Calendar, Culebra's local newspaper, there is a map that should show you where beaches, restaurants, stores, etc, are located:

Once on the website, go to the right hand column, then to the end, and you'll find a map for Culebra, " the best of Culebra Resort maps". Click on the map and the map gives good info, location etc.

There are a couple of grocery stores on the island. You'll find these too on the map, Colmado Genesis and Colmado Milka are the biggest.

The only kiosks on the beach are the ones located at Flamingo. There is one that sells ice, but sometimes they sell out, so plan ahead.
