We are a US military family and when we travel on military planes, we never know for sure ahead of time if we will make it to our destination. For this reason, we do not want to have to make room or car reservations where we have to pay ahead of time. The flight we are hoping to take puts us in PR for the last 2 weeks of July. We would like to be in Culebra for several days during that time. I know that there is a 3 day holiday from July 25-27.
My question in this: Would our best bet for walk up rooms and cars be before the holiday weekend, and then back on the main island over the holiday (where we can try to stay on the military base)?
