Hi Ann,
We have been diving a # of times to the BVI, one trip to the USVI, and dove off Vieques and Culebra for the first time this past Jan. I will be posting a trip report with photos (I just posted some here: http://www.islaculebra.com/pictures/culebra.htm) about our Culebra diving, but let me just say that the sites we dove off Culebra compare very favorably to the best dive sites in the BVI and USVI. There is very little runoff from the island and the visibility is excellent. Most of the sites are reasonably shallow, in the 30 to 50' range, allowing for extended bottom time. The reef is very healthy and some of the sites are among the most colorful sites we have dived anywhere in the Caribbean over the past 6 years. We dove with Capt. Walter Rieder of Culebra Divers http://www.culebradivers.com/culebradivers/welcome.html and give him our highest recommendation.
all the best, alashas http://honeymoon2.smugmug.com/
