Day trip San Juan to Culebra possible?

Do the ferries run frequently enough?

Is one day enough to relax at Flamenco Beach, eat lunch and visit one other beach?

You'll have to surround the two ferry trips with publico trips to and from Fajardo.

depends on your definition of relaxation, wouldn't fit in my schedule. much less a second beach.

Many years ago my husband and I did a day trip to check out the island. It is a lot of travel for the few hours you get to spend on the island. It can be done...take the earliest Ferry...not sure of the times..you can even ride the cargo ferry and I think that one is at 4am. I believe there might be a 5pm Ferry back to Fajardo...A long day for sure..not sure it is relaxing.

There is no such thing as a bad vacation. Some are just better than others.

You are staying in SJ and wanting to go to Culebra for one day?

How many people?

How are you going to get to the ferry?
Will you drive there?
Or take a taxi?
Are you trying to save money?

You can fly from the Ceiba Airport for around $50 r/t
not sure the exact amount.
and i think the first flight is around 6 30 am.
so you could be on the beach by 730am. not bad. spend a few hours, have lunch, go to another beach for a couple of hours then head back.

not impossible. and if you can only spare one day, its worth it. once youre on zoni or flamenco, you'll know why.

It depends on your priorities. You can fly from the Isla Grande airport near Old San Juan directly to Culebra. You can travel by land and ferry to save money, but you will spend as much time travelling as you do on Culebra.
Why not spend at least one night on Culebra? There are a number of nice guest houses. Trust me, it's worth it.
