SJU to Culebra 2-24

I'm arriving SJU at 4 pm Tues 2-24, haven't been able to reach Air Flemenco by phone. Am a solo budget traveller, hoping to get to Culebra that day. Any advice? Anyone going my way with that time frame?

where are you staying on Culebra? You can get to the 7 pm ferry from Faj, via a cab ride that should cost $55-$65. DO NOT pay more! if you need drivers' names and numbers, let me know. Or you could spend the night at the Fajardo Inn..a lovely peaceful landing, and take the boat the next morn...or call M&N aviation, they depart right from SJU if they have enough passengers. Keep trying Air Flamenco, 787 724 6464, to see what they have that day from either Isla Grande or Ceiba?

Good evening,
The numbers that I call for Flamenco Air are: 787-721-7332 or 787-724-1818. I've not have difficulty, but have heard many times that others have. I would just keep trying.

M&N is a charter company so that would likely cost you more than a regular flight with Flamenco or VAL ($105 r/t pp).

Having said all of that, Flamenco's last flight is 4:30pm & VAL's is 4:45.

Hi,
Check with Thrifty car rental. We've got a car rented for a total of $60.16 which includes dropping the car off in Fajardo. You could grab the car right at the airport, drive to Thrifty in Fajardo and have them take you to the ferry. We are a couple going that way, but not until 2-26. Will actually go to El Yunque 2-26 and stay in Fajardo that night. Fajardo Inn has a February special for weekdays for $75/night which is a lot less than their normal rate. I think one of the other posts suggested staying there if you can't catch the ferry in time, so thought I would mention that. What time are you leaving Culebra? We are leaving March 3, and would be interested in sharing rides.

I just booked a flight with Flamenco Aire 787-724-1818. I was told to call in the morning. Keep trying.

I was also told that there is a 25 lb baggage limitation. When I asked the woman if that included everything including my purse, etc. She said yes.

Is this true?? Any experience out there. What happens if you're over and they want to send over on separate flight? Is this a scary proposition??
