Hotel kokomo - Pregunta Urgente

Nosotros estuvimos en Culebra al ano pasado (Julio, '07) y a la verdad, despues que vi al Hotel Kokomo de cerca, me alegre el no haber hecho reservaciones alli. Queda al cruzar de la calle del puerto. Se veia bien gastadito y viejito, medio guacala. Tambien busque informacion de algunos huespedes que se habian hospedado alli. La informacion varia un poco pero la mayoria de los comentarios fueron que las habitaciones estaban bastante viejas, no habia cerraduras en las puertas o no funcionaban bien y no estaban muy limpios. Busca en "tripadvisor" o algun otro website de viaje para ver si hay informacion mas reciente acerca del Hotel Kokomo. Yo creo que uno de los que comentan en este website se ha quedado alli (Michael). Se quedo el ano pasado y lo encontro limpio y bueno por el precio. Ten en mente que hay veces que por el precio ser barato, a la larga uno termina pagando las consecuencias por estar incomodo. Vale la pena pagar un poquito mas y tener unas comodidades a la mano y asi asegurar unas vacaciones placenteras. Nosotros nos quedamos en la Posada La Hamaca y esta ultima vez en Casita Tropical que por cierto fue divino! Puedes buscar en esta pagina por informacion acerca de estos y otros lugares para alojarse bajo "SHELTER". Any feedback about Hotel Kokomo??? Happy travels, Feliz viaje! J supergarcia3

Over the past year we have been working hard to paint the rooms and fix any problems that we are aware of. We have received much better reviews since this time but are always looking to upgrade and fix anything that is broke. I hope you will see what we have been doing to increase the quality of our rooms and enjoy your futures stays in Culebra.

Author: kerry parsons (---.il-chicago0.sa.earthlink.net) Date:   08-05-08 00:51 i don't speak spanish either, but i am glad u are fixing problems at hotel kokomo...i will be staying there nov. 5 -12 2008...i have read good and bad about your place, but, from the pix i saw on the website, it looked fine to me...i don't need anything fancy, but "clean" is on my priority list....i'm used to staying at no frills places, as i can think of a lot better things to spend my money on than a high cost hotel! this will be my first trip to puerto rico, after many trips to belize, ambergris caye....culebra kinda reminded of that area....i'm sure all will be fine, and i will post on my experience when i return....take care...and will see u soon...kerry (aka caron) parsons

I'm glad to know that Hotel Kokomo is fixing up the facilities; you can't beat the price and the location right across from the docks. I did read another posting today from someone trying to make a reservation via internet that you do require a $50 deposit beside the rental fee and taxes. Never heard that before. Author: Michael (---.nyc.res.rr.com) Date:   08-09-08 12:53 The additional damage deposit of $50 is charged for 'lost' towels, broken dishes, etc. Ever since that policy was introduced (I do it with my own vacation rentals in NY and Vienna as well) guests are indeed more careful. That in return helps to keep the place nicer and a better place to come back to! Enjoy Culebra! Michael
