Trying 'creative' in establishing a pretty low cost and low key overall travel accomodation to Culebra in March. The idea of enjoying some 'visuals' along the way from San Juan (mainly to see 'a bit' of 'beauty' of mainland!) before taking ferry to Culebra sounds like a workable option for me.
However, I'm also on a current search for some low cost longer term housing options! perhaps a housing share/swap with other 'solo' travelers.
Yes, I've thought of camping at Flamenco Beach (may have to!!!).... I've got a tent to dig out from under 'somewhere'?!, but use of kitchen for local dishes might be preferred (possibly staying 12-14 days)!
Once there, I'd love to 'graciously' head out the door daily, to explore the island, enjoy beautiful snorkeling spots or do some long distance beach swimming. Yes, a true blue 'mermaid' !!!! Can and do stay in for hours!
Have a high regard for the 'local' people wherever I'm venturing, so 'any' and 'all' thoughts of cost cutting suggestions-for longer term low cost housing or optional housing arrangements/sharing, would be terrific!
(The Berkshire mountains (currently live) quite beautiful -culturally dynamic - theater, art, music & dance. Might consider a 'swap' arrangement!
Just be creative, most of all get in touch 'pronto'!
I'm arriving to Culebra 'soon'! depending on any feedback, thankfully acquired in the meantime-at least within the next several days before booking a flight!!!
Welcome to call: 413-243-6477 (7:30-8:30am or 8:30-10:00 evenings best)or just leave a Tel # (I'll call you right back!)
To all good people of Culebra who might wish to consider possibly 'housing a new friend' for longer and to fellow like minded 'eco' mermaids or mermen?!-Let's Go!!!
