Day charter from SJ to Culebra?

I am coming to San Juan on a cruise on Dec. 21. I've been to PR numerous times, and a local I met on a March cruise recommended Culebra. I'm there from 7 am to 3 pm, so timing for Fajardo & ferries just doesn't work. I'd be really interested in looking to charter a boat to sail to and around Culebra, for anywhere from 3 to 7 people, but haven't had much luck finding anything out of San Juan. Any suggestions? Is this even a feasible trip for the time that I have? I'd really like to just sail over a spend a couple hours at the beach. Thanks for any advice.

You would make better use of the few hours you have by catching a quick flight over, catch a publico to Flaminco Beach and spend a few hours and catch a publico back to the airport for your flight back to SJ. You would do better to fly out of the smaller airport Isla Grande, which is very close to where your ship should be docking. Have a great trip. Vicki in TN

That time of year your chances of problems with flying and getting back to your boat with that time frame are pretty dicey, in my opinion. A sail, even if you could find one, would take way too long as well.
Best bet...make a trip to Culebra as your primary trip sometime, or book a sailing charter from PR to Culebra as part of a PR vacation; with research I'm sure you could find something. That would be an incredibly relaxing holiday, minus 2000 other people :)
