Fresh Fruit in Culebra

I am coming to Culebra July 19-26th. Is there a fresh fruit market that weekend? Also, do we need to make dinner reservations before we come?

Most restaurants are first come first serve style, and open at about 5pm. If the island is "busy" then make sure to be there near opening time. If you want something special, make reservations at Juanita Bananas (you can find their number on this site)

Culebra is not known for its agriculture, but it is possible to find an array of local fruits (mangos & papayas) and veggies (island pumpkin or calabaza) at Colmado Milka or other grocery stores. You can find coco's at the beach for free :) remember, less is more.

Juanita's is closed until November - off season for them, unfortunately for the rest of us! The veggie/fruit market guy was here last weekend, I'm not sure about this weekend. But you'll be here tomorrow, so you'll find out! They have some wonderful things when he's here. Like Banana says, the markets do pretty well now for basic fruits and veggies.

Correction on Juanita Bananas! I saw Javier today and while they WERE going to not open until November, they are now opening this Friday instead - with no sure closing date as long as there is business around for the off season. So make your reservations for some of their great food! Nothing stays the same but change...
