you could consider checking out "sailing adventures & lessons", the guy who runs this small chartering business is very flexible and reasonably priced. you would have most of the day to check out either island on your own if you left early in the morning. he has a very cool little boat, and is a tremendous sailor. the boat has no motor, so try to pick a breezy day. the only sunfish rental available on the island is from culebra boat rental, and you are restricted to staying within the bay. with thomas, you will get there cheaper, faster, and can put more stuff onboard. worth looking into.
