I've shown that video to all my pilot buddies. In truth, it barely does justice to the actual experience, but they get the idea. Twice, over the years, I have landed from an approach that actually vectors in over the ridge above Tamarindo, and the approach angle can only be described as a dive. One other time we approached from Ensenada Honda, with a stiff NE wind. A heavy gust caught the front end and set off the stall alarm. He didn't admit it, but I think the pilot was even swallowing hard.
I tell folks that pilots who fly into Culebra are as skilled as the Blue Angels.
