What is Culebra NiteLife Like?

I will be enjoying 5 days and 4 nights on Culebra, April 30 thru May 4, What might a group of 4 ( 2 Couples) expect in the line of night life on Culebra.
We will be there on weekdays Mon thru Thurs nights.

Also, is there more to do, by lodging near the Ferry Landing as compared to staying at Flamenco Beach. Would appreciate any pros and cons to each location! Thanks for any suggestions/comments

The question is...what do you mean by Nitelife? We have night life...star/moon gazing, beach walking, deck sitting; uh...weekdays, there must be something, oh!!! Amy Jo plays at Dinghy Dock...ask, because you WILL go there for some meal during your time here..night life is slim here during the week (well, during the weekend too, but it does exist).
Trust me, in the time you are here, you will find out anything that is going on beside the sunset (do check the sunset...there IS the green flash, if you are very, very fortunate).
The beauty of Culebra is the fact that...you are the author, director and producer of your own night life (well, there ARE the roosters at 3 a.m. and that is part of it...). Enjoy. Create!

Thanks for the reply. By nightlife, I was thinking in the line of a fun place to go to hear music, have drinks, meet people and possibly dance after we enjoy the beautiful sunset. Thanks

nah, there's nothing like that, just weirdo tranny prostitutes and rigged 3 card monte games. it's like something out of a German Expressionist painting from the Weimar period.

or a pleasant night hanging out with old (and new) friends and going home and looking at the stars.

nights end pretty early (ok midnight or so) unless reading is a pursuit. although el Batey has in the past done weekend things.

ok, joking aside, I like to hang at Dinghy and occasionally watch the Tarpon swimming under.

I'm not sure why, but my friends generally avoid Happy Landings, I love a good dive (and I've been to far, far deeper).

It's not a bad idea to go to bed early anyway, since the roosters will start around dawn. (I can't believe I just wrote that).

there's not much nightlife, but it's easy to find and it's low-key and friendly.



Jeez Michael, when are going to block me from posting here?

Why has nobody mentioned the drum circle at Mamacitas on Saturday? Is that not going on anymore? Also Dinghy has Karaoke on Friday, I think, which can be an adventure...if you are outgoing and friendly just get in the car and hop around town..youll find something I guarantee. I would recommend getting an early start on the weekday because most places close (or at least when I was there last year) around 11...watch the tequillla shots, they bite.

It's not really a drum circle...it's traditional conga, with the Wiki Sound Machine...a lot of fun! Yes, it's still going on, but Jorge is off island this weekend, so I don't know what will happen Saturday night.
Karaoke is at Dinghy Dock on Thursday nights as far as I know, but it's easy to check in case it's on Friday now?
