Visiting Soon.... What to do?

My trip to Culebra is coming up and I am trying to decide what to do during my stay, other than just sleeping on the beach for the most of the time!

Kayaking to Luis Pena
Taking a water taxi to Culebrita
Taking a snorkeling trip

What would you reccommend? Is going on a snorkeling trip worth it versus snorkeling from the beach?

There is great snorkeling off of Flamenco if you are a strong swimmer and a nice hike and good, easy snorkeling by taking the trail to Carlos Rosario over the mountain. Just don't go too close to point at Carlos Rosario unless you are a strong, comfortable swimmer because the currents are strong. Also, a hike up to the old navy headquarters/helo pad give amazing views of the north side of Culebra from 300 feet up! Definitely go to Culebrita but you could spend 3 days or more just snorkeling around Carlos Rosario, Tamarindo Beach, and Flamenco Beach. Soldier's Point is also an interesting trip if you have a car.

last year we rented a boat and went to nearby keys and around the island, it was wonderful.....we are going to do it agian. and snorkeling

Bring several good books and your knitting; lie in a hammock in the evening and listen to the plethera of sounds. Talk withfellow travelers and residents; build sand sculptures. Be with yourself.
