Punta Soldado Beach

Punta Soldado is at the S- SE point of Culebra with a southern view facing Vieques, from here you can also see the main Island of Puerto Rico. It is a small bay with a beach of coral and small stones, surrounded by brush and mangroves.

This is a beautiful spot for snorkeling and night diving. Due to it's accessibility by car, often people go to hang out for a the day. Occassionally you may even see a sailboat moored there.

Swimming in the bay is excellent. If you are of a very adventurous nature and attempt to swim around the point to Malena, you will encounter a very strong current and undertow, which is it not to be taken lightly and should only be done with fins!
