Resort or all-inclusive for Honeymoon in Culebra?

I'm looking for a resort for young newlyweds. I'd prefer an all-inclusive as it will be a gift. Are there any on Culebra? If not, what resort would you recommend for a young couple? Thank you.

There aren't really any all inclusives on Culebra, although I think Club Seabourne offers meal plans. I think the most "resortish" place may be Bahia Marina, but keep in mind that nothing is super fancy on the island.

You might want to try someplace like St. Thomas, Aruba, Jamaica. There are no swanky resorts on Culebra.

Also, be careful "gifting" Culebra to someone. Culebra is not for everyone, as you can see from reading this forum. There is no golf, no tennis, very few swimming pools. Amenities are basically enjoying nature period. If the couple you are giving this to like an active lifestyle, they may be very disappointed.

I'm not looking for the "resort" atmosphere. The couple are both artists and very low-key. I was thinking of an all-inclusive mainly so they wouldn't need to worry about money, or the cost of their meals etc. In reading the posts, the island sounds great, but as a mother, I will always have the worry that my daughter is somewhere safe. Is there any thing on the island that they might have to look out for?

Beware the "I'm not coming home" syndrome. A related danger is getting so laid back you miss your homeward flight...

All kidding aside, I'd just give them a food allowance - $50 a day ?

re Doug's caveat: that's the only danger I can think of...

the island is safe as all get-out. And while I've heard gripes about some accomodations, but very few truly horrendous complaints.
