From what I have read in my research, it seems difficult to "plan" a trip to Culebra using the ferry. I know about the alternatives like flying and using the website that a bunch of people on this site have used to purchase ferry tickets in advance. I want to spare some some expense though and pay the normal ferry price, not the cost of the flight or the website surcharges. I should mention that we are a family of 6. So all this background is a long preamble to my question which is: Does the ferry run on big holidays like Easter Sunday, and how busy is it? I realize we are trying to do this during Semana Santa, but this is our first time going to PR and is when we decided to go. We want to go to Culebra on April 5 and return on April 7. I am looking for advice on whether anybody thinks I can buy tickets in Fajardo on April 5.
