Yes, you can mail it to yourself, c/o General Delivery, Dewey, Culebra, Puerto Rico. Sometimes it gets there in 2 days, sometimes it takes 2 weeks. Sometimes it gets there looking great, other times it looks like they've thrown it under the airplane tire before loading it. Pack well and use plenty of packing tape on the corners - they blow out. The post office staff is very patient and nice to us - they hold the packages until we come and are very patient when we bug them daily when they don't come in. We've never lost anything to theft although we have had boxes get smashed so badly stuff came out the edges. We've earned to line the boxes with beach towels. We stay for 3 weeks and use only carry on's so we mail stuff down that we can't live without for 3 weeks.
We've often wished someone on the island would offer small storage areas (even big bin sized) that we can leave our "island only" items in so that we could leave them from year to year. We'd pay for that! (anyone?)
Enjoy!
