I just moved from San Juan to Rhode Island last week and the airline wouldn't let us fly with our dog due to cold weather in Boston. It will cost $400 to send her on plane without a ticketed passenger or $175 if I can find anybody making the trip from SJU to NY / New England area willing to check in with her on their ticket. The dog will be traveling in the checked baggage area. My brother in law will take dog to airport and check her in with you, and we will pick her up at the arrival airport. Obviously we will pay dog related costs. Anybody? I am especially hoping to find people traveling on American Airlines, as they appear to have a better record transmitting animals.
