I think it's my week to take the rain questions.
Darlin', let me begin by saying that the entire planet is in the midst of a climatic grand mal seizure. Some of us even believe that we humans have brought this on ourselves. Use your best judgement to decide. At any rate, Culebra isn't immune to this unpredictable anomaly.
The reason they call June-October hurricane season is that conditions for hurricanes exist during these months. I've yet to hear of a dry hurricane, so if one occurs, it'll likely rain, quite hard, for 2-4 days.
Finally, Culebra is in the tropics and no matter the time of year, there is a likelihood that a shower will pop up and rain for a spell, followed by long periods of hot sunshine. Of all my visits, probably totaling 150 days, I've only had it fail to rain maybe 20 days and only had it rain all day a like number. I personally treasure the opportunity to enjoy my book on the veranda while nursing my coffee or Presidente with the cool showers nurturing the bougainvillea and greening up the hillsides for my postcard photos. Usually within an hour or so, the sun is burning bright somewhere on the island.

PS...don't forget that the tropical sun will make very short work of unprotected skin. Trust me on this.
