Constitution Day / Water Taxi

Author: Mr. Mom (---.lightcore.net) Date:   07-14-11 18:52 I am visiting Culebra on July 22, 23 and 24th next week with my 6 year old daughter and 9 year old son. We are planning on catching the 3 p.m. launcha on Friday. How early do we need to arrive beforehand to make sure that we make it on the boat? Should we try to get tickets earlier in the day? I might be being overly cautious but I was concerned about the holiday weekend. Also, if anybody is heading to Culebrita on Saturday, July 23rd, Keegan, Keely and I would love to share a water taxi with someone. I am not that interesting, but Keegan and Keely are great fun. Absent someone with current plans to head to Culebrita that we could assume, what would be the best way to get to Culebra on that Saturday? I appreciate any thoughts that you have. Author: palmettoculebra (---.coqui.net) Date:   07-15-11 20:15 Good evening, The ferries are VERY crowded in the summer months (i.e. sold out often & NOT just on weekends). Normally, advance tickets are not sold on the day of, except one our prior. I'd suggest as early as possible (yes, could eat up a good part of your day) getting to the ferry dock. Author: Mr. Mom (---.dhcp.stls.mo.charter.com) Date:   07-16-11 12:54 We are actually coming in to Fajardo this Tuesday, July 19, so should we try to get tickets for Friday's 3 p.m. Lancha on Tuesday or Wednesday during the ticket sales for the boats scheduled on that day? If not, is there a good airline out of Ceiba to try? Thanks for your reply! Also, assuming we can get there on Friday, we are still interested in sharing (or otherwise arranging) for transport to Culebrita on Saturday, July 25th. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for the help. Newbie

She and her boy friend would be interested. Did you find anybody yet? How much is the water taxi and what time would you be leaving? I'm writing because I didn't remember exactly the link where I had found your request link and she's not at home right now for her to read my email. I understand you're already in Culebra. How's the weather? Hope the weather's being kind. I lived in Puerto Rico so I know that it usually doesn't rain for long if it does unless you're smack right into the hurricane season and that's not until next month. Kind regards. L.V.
