Per Google Earth it's about a mile kayak ride from Zoni to Norte, Zoni to Culebrita, and Tamarindo to Lois Penya. All are doable given favorable seas and winds. Not recommended on the weekends due to busy boat traffic. The current does move quite briskly between the islands. Once out in the passage off from shore you can/will encounter larger swells (not Poseidon Adventure size). If you kayak to Culebrita recommend heading to the South side of the island not the North due to swells and shallow reef forming breakers. Just look beforehand and if you see white water breaking then goto plan B sitting on the beach. Also note the water surface close to shore and then out towards the middle to see if the wind is dropping in over the island and quite higher out in the middle. Remember that your are out in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean on your own; plenty to go wrong. Be safe and enjoy!
