Groceries in San Juan?

Last year, the fresh produce stand was showing up on Fridays and we had just missed it when we got there. This year, we'll be arriving in Culebra on Sunday, Dec. 19th, so we'll miss the produce stand again. Can anyone tell me 1) if produce day is still Friday, or 2) if they know of anywhere to buy fresh produce in San Juan that's in between SJU and Isla Grande airports, or 3) what's the best bet for finding fresh produce in Culebra on a day other than produce day?

Good morning,
Yes, Luis comes on Friday.

options for produce:
There is a stand on the side of the road (rte 3) en route to Fjdo.

All the grocery stores have a variety.

Staying at Palmetto & the nice people there have been known to "pick up" some Friday produce for guests staying with them who are arriving after Friday.

Thanks! Do you happen to know if Luis will be there the following week? Friday is Christmas Eve, so I don't know if he'll be there then, or if he'll maybe come on Thursday instead, or just skip a week.

I have asked my cab driver to stop at a grocery store when traveling from SJU to the little airport. I think it was a Publix gocery which was a pretty good sized store. I stopped by the produce spot in Culebra on 11/26 and was met by a rooster; no produce guys. Not sure if it's hit or miss or just the holiday.

Luis is not "hit or miss," & in fact is very consistent, but does sometimes re-arrange for holidays.
