I see a lot of posts about how to get to Cuelbra due to FAA issues. Just wanted you all to know that it seems that this have been straightened out, at least towards the end of this month. We just booked tickets yesterday to leave San Juan on October 30th for the island. I thought I had read that Flamenco Air wasn't in operation again until early November.

I received a confirmation email last week from someone at Flamenco Air stating that our flight from San Juan to Culebra this Friday 10/15 at 4:30pm was still on.

Yes I did book on the phone, only took 2 calls and called around 3 p.m. (EST)

I just got off the phone with Air Flamenco and they said they are only running charters right now. We're trying to fly to Culebra on 11/6, and are having a tough time finding a way to get there.

Is there a minimum for how many people booking a charter? I'm going in january with 8 others, and i'm the only one not risking the ferry. Can I get a single ticket?

Flamenco & Vieques Airlink are hoping to be up & running scheduled flights again by Nov. I'd wait & see if you can get a single ticket on a scheduled flight as things may change between now & then.

We flew with Flamenco Air Oct. 15 and 22. Have to call the airline from Isla Grande and they will pick you up and bring you to their hangar which is where you will take off from.

We flew w/ Flamenco on Saturday, Oct 30th...no issues, they checked us in @ the counter, then when it was time we got in the plane and took off, they didn't bring us to their counter. It wasn't a private flight, we called from Maine, booked tickets and it went very smoothly...same with the ride back. On the flight to the island, we were the only people on the plane, it was full on the way back. Make sure you don't pack too much though - not that you'll need much anyway.

Flamenco is still flying & hoping to return to regularly scheduled flights by end Nov.

Vieques Airlink is flying 4 (3 of Suns.) scheduled flights daily to/from San Juan/Culebra. You should phone their 888 # (NOT the 787) directly for confirmation & booking.

Kurt, call VAL 888# for scheduled cheaper airfare from the little airport. Call Matt at Air Culebra for a flight from SJU to Culebra whenever you wish to depart for $300 one way up to 3 passengers.

I booked online at Vieques Air Link. They are advertising regular flights to Culebra from San Juan Isla Grande. Easy.
