Hi,

I usually fly with air flamenco from san juan to culebra. Seems that they'll not be providing scheduled flights by the time i arrive at sju on the 27th of this month.

I've been researching alternative airlines from san juan, isla grande and ceiba, taxi rides to ceiba and the ferry from fajardo to culebra.

To date I've managed to amass lots of telephone numbers for the above and nothing in terms of a travel plan beyond flying into san juan.

So, i'll call all the airlines for flights to culebra when i get to san juan and either get a flight or not. If i don't get a flight, i'll taxi down to ceiba and call the airlines there and either get a flight or not. If i don't get a flight i'll take the ferry.

Hmm, guess i got a plan after all.

Wow thats alot of numbers...should we really wait till we get to San Juan to make arrangements or should we reserve ahead of time? The hour and half to fajardo seems long then the ferry our and half. ummm

another option is to rent a car, one way, from san juan to ceiba.
its near the airport.
they will drive you to the airport or to the ferry
sometimes it can be as cheap as $35

Please let us know how you got to the island and back. I may need to use whatever method worked for you if the whole airline situation is still not solved by the time I visit.

I called VAL today and they said to call back on about Nov. 15 to get more information on if they can actually start flying...
